Jai-Jawan Fish Centre (aka Sardar)

Alright street food is back

Being a Mumbaikar since birth, Jai-Jawan has been a very frequent visiting site. Being on linking road, one of the must visits in Bombay - Suburbs, Sardar is The place to eat Tandoor after a shopping mania.

Again Eating here is the icon semi-evolved Mumbai, "Gaddi Mein", but if you are comfortable with the crowd and the humidity in bombay, you can do it the traditional bambiya style, tell you waiter and he will pop a bottle in your hood to support the sloping surface against your car body and there you have a table. Parking here is one quest, but that just adds to the image of Bombay. Of-course for the rich or the people who aren't ready to experience what a middle-class mumbaikars daily meal is there is a take-away option.

"What to eat?" is the question in your mind ehh?
Well thats what i am here for.
Sardar's Masterpiece has always been Pow-Kilo mix (a quater kilo of Prawns and Fish), or you could order it in as much quantity you want. Adha-kilo(half-kilo), Pauna(3 quarters of a kilo) and ek(one kilo). But if your taste buds are against either of the two, you could go for just one of them in the same quantities mentioned. Tandoori-Chicken and Sheek-Kabab is another affair, which in my opinion is one you must indulge. Thumbs-up, Every Mumbaikars Beverage with Meals, is Just right to top this up.

Price is one great pull factor and one can have a hearty meal for an affordale price

Global Fusion, Bandra (West)

This is a Reply to my first Follower Akash Surti upon the Blog's First recieved request. Also this is a reply to all my vegetarian followers

Global fusion is every asian cusine lovers paradise. They offrer i wide range of Cuisines namely, Chinese, East Asian, Fusion, Japanese, Pan-Asian, Teppanyaki and Thai. They Offer both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian

The Restaurant is Just Off Linking Road, The shopping paradise of the Bombay Suburbs. Its only 10 mins (4km) by road from Bandra Terminus (Details).

Global Fusion offers a colossal buffet that baffles you when you see it for the first time. There is a fresh cooked Section, A Fresh Sushi Section, A Main Course section and A dessert counter.

For starters one gives the order at the Freshly cooked section by dropping a clip with you table number (Kept at each individual table) in the basket for the item one desires to eat. The Clips are retuned when the Waiters serve you on your table one must eat the Fresh Fried Prawns (These are self Service during peak hours) but they are over within 5 minutes of each batch's display, so be alert :).   If you eat Beef the Honey roasted Beef is a must eat. Vegetarian food is also available with a surplus variety.

The Sushi counter serves Freshly made Sushi. There are about 15-20 different types of Sushi's available.

Main course is whole new issue. Usually one Skips main course here due to the Staggering amount of Starters. But This is where the vegetarians rejoice. With at least 4 items in Main course, with an option of both Rice and noodles There is Enough for you to fill Two Plates every-time you Visit the Counters.

One of my favorites at global Fusion is the Gigantic Dessert Counter. With moose, pies, Cakes, Pastries and a separate Baskin & Robbins Counter, I can Bet you Will curse yourself If u filled up your stomach with the main course. A must Eat Here is the the Mud Cake with its Mouth Watering chocolate, Which Melts in your Mouth you will go back for a second serving

Soft Drinks and Sodas are on The house and there is often a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer on Beer. The are Innumerous Water Counters with 200ml Bisleri Bottles Of both Chilled and Room Temperature water .

Price of the buffet is Around Rs. 800 depending on your Choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian and The meal and also the day and Date (Public Holidays have weekend rates)

Nice Fast Food, Santacruz (W), Mumbai, India

I have been visiting nice fast food since 6 months now. It is a must visit for any Non-Vegetarian Food lover. Nice is one of the only Pur Non-Vegetarian restaurants in its locality.
Just a meager 900 meters from Santacruz station, it is the perfect fast food eatery for the working and the college goers. Nice is on the S.V. Road, on your way to Bandra, just after Yoko Sizzlers and Dynasty hotel

The Higlights of my usual meal here are Baida Roti (the egg roll), Mutton Sheek Kabab (a kabab roasted in a "tandoor"), Murg Tikka (pieces of Chicken roasted in a tandoor with select Indian Spices), Murg Malia Tikka (another Tandoor roasted dish, it is *not the* same as Murg Tikka), Keri-Khalichi (Beef), and Murg Tandoori (Chicken). Of course with a Thumbs Up to top it up.

<-   Baida Roti (the egg roll)

<- Mutton Sheek Kabab (a kabab roasted in a "tandoor")

Nice doesn't have a very varied menu, but is indubitably amazing at what it cooks. The service is Fast and crowd is not much during pear hours. The biggest drawback is the absence of a place to sit and eat. Your options being Take-Away, Eat-In (Stand with plates kept on a slightly raised platform), And "Gaddi Mein" (Meaning In the car), or of course u could do it the Bombay style Open up you Hood (bonnet) and Support the sloping structure by puting a glass bottle between the hood lock and the alumnium body and there you have your flat table
